Joy & Winston
Mini/medium Goldendoodles 30-40 pounds
Red/apricot coats
Born 11/18/2023
Ready to go home: January 12-13
Joy and Winston have babies! We have 7 babies--4 girls and 3 boys. They are adorable and growing right on schedule! They are going to be beautiful classic goldendoodles at 30-45 pounds with thick wavy coats.

Joy is an Emotional support dog for one of our veterans. Her family calls her their nurse dog. She has a unique ability to identify when someone in their home is sick or injured and she sticks by their side like glue. We love her sweet emotional awareness. Joy loves kids and other dogs and she is an awesome natural mama. The babies and Joy are staying with Joy's guardian family in Mountain Home.
Winston is a beloved snuggler and a 'people' dog. We love his dark red color and his easy temperament. We anticipate that these puppies will all be great candidates for our families with kids and those looking for a therapy companion.

Meet Joy's Christmas babies!

Silent Night Joy
The babies are ready to go home! We have done a little extra training with these babes to help their transition and they are all doing so great. They sleep in their crates at night and they use the doggy door to go potty outside. They have fun little personalities emerging.
Buddy is a beautiful Caramel (red coat with a brown nose) boy. He has an instinct for fetch and loves to carry toys around. He sleeps in his crate like a big boy. He's getting the hang of basic obedience really quickly.

Nick had a recent visit to our local grade school where he was the kids favorite. Especially the timid kids. He stayed remarkably calm even with a large group of kids and adults around him. We always follow our puppy's cues with groups and Nick was happy to be with people and to lay and be petted.

Frosty wages his tail on command. He loves to be held like a baby and has a gentle, snugglers heart.

Mistletoe loves to be with kids more than anyone else. She is really smart and is picking up on basic training really quickly. She loves to play with balls.

Holly is the smallest of the litter. She has beautiful light eyes. She likes to be picked up and she is doing so awesome with basic obedience and potty training. She is one of the more playful and will be easy to train.

Rudy is a big softie. He has high emotional intelligence and is naturally more calm than most puppies his age.

The babies have grown so much in the last week! They are all walking and starting to play with each other. They have started potty training and they are learning to sleep in a crate. They still like to cuddle all on one big pile and mama Joy still nurses multiple times a day. This week they will start eating solid food and will start learning to use the doggy door to go potty!

Joy delivered 6 puppies in the evening on Saturday November 18. She labored quickly and calmly and every puppy was born wiggly and happy. We have three girls and three boys. Joy was so miserable the last couple of days of her pregnancy that she slept with the puppies for two days! All of the babies are nursing and sleeping right along with mama.

The babies are just over a week old! Joy is doing an awesome job as mama and the babies are all snuggly and growing right on schedule. They are in the neonatal period right now where their eyes and ears are still fused closed. Their primary sense is smell and touch. They rely on stimulation from mama to go potty and they rely on mom and each other to regulate body temperature. Over the next week they will start opening their eyes and then their ears and they will begin creeping around the box more as they can regulate their body temperature a little more. We handle each baby every day and we hold them in positions that help to stimulate the development of neuro-pathways that will pave the way for learning and training.

The babies are five weeks old! Mama Joy has weaned them about 75% and they are all eating soft puppy food with no trouble. They have free access to water every day. They go outside to go potty and play when it isn't 100+ degrees outside--mostly mornings and evenings. They love to wrestle and 'chew' on each other. They don't quite have their back molars in but they will have them by the end of next week! Once they have their back molars they will start weaning over to hard crunch puppy food. The babies are all learning to sit to 'say please.' They are with Joy's guardian family in Mountain Home and that includes two of our favorite Magic Valley Goldendoodles Ginger and her daughter Ella. They play with kids (Nixon is the neighborhood favorite) and other dogs every day and we absolutely love their easy going mellow temperaments! These are truly classic goldendoodle beauties with nice blocky structure and wavy coats. Color is ranging between apricot/cream to red. We will continue to see colors develop as they get older--most reds tend to fade with age. This week they will continue with new socializing experiences everyday and they will start learning to take treats from our hands in preparation for individual training which will start between 6-7 weeks.

Today is moving day! The babies are two weeks old and everyone is doing great! Mom is nursing and babies are all gaining weight right on schedule. The Tanton family is thrilled to have them join them in their home and Joy is so happy to be back in her familiar surroundings. Babies are just starting to toddle around and they have just started opening their eyes. We will keep toenails trimmed and watch to make sure everyone is developing right on schedule. This week everyone will get names and collars and they will get more and more steady on their feet. Mom will start spending less time in the whelping box as the babies can keep and regulate their own temperatures now. We will start introducing soft food and water next week.

Joy and Milo have babies! Joy had seven boys and one little girl on June ninth. Joy had a quick and easy labor and she has naturally adjusted to life as a mama. She is busy trying to eat enough food to nurse eight hungry babies! For the first week we focus on daily handling of each baby and we watch to make sure each puppy is nursing and growing. Mama does all the work to keep babies clean, warm and growing. Our job is to keep baby bedding clean and make sure mom is healthy and eating and drinking and that she has all the snuggles and support she needs to feel safe and protected. Once we know all babies are healthy and growing on schedule we will move mom and babes back to her guardian home in Mountain Home.

Joy is ready to have babies! This is her first litter and she is handling pregnancy like an experienced mama! We are working hard to get her enough calories to grow these little babies! She spends her time lounging around waiting for belly scratches!
